Google Play Books is now available in the Philippines
Are you a bookworm, at the same time has an Android device in the Philippines? You'll be probably happy with this news. Google announced today that Google Play Books is now available in the Philippines (as well as Hong Kong, Singapore,Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and New Zealand).
Google Play Books is now available on the Philippines on your current Android Play Store app
A thousand of books, either paid or free are available in Google Play Books, including the New York Times bestseller books you can choose from. You can also choose a categories of books what you want to read by swiping from the left side of your Play Store app
Since Filipino is the national language in the Philippines, categories are shown in Tag-Lish (a mixture of English and Filipino/Tagalog terms)
If you try this on your own.. first thing first, open your Play Store app and you need to download the Google Play Books app on Play Store
After you done installing, you may come back at Google Play Store Books section to browse your desired e-book you want to add on your collection.
A quick refresher, some Google Play features are not available here in the Philippines like Movies, TV Shows, Magazines, Music (online i-tunes store style on iOS) and Music All Access.. Here are the complete list of availability of Google Play features:
