LOOK: GMA soon to offer DTV-On-The-Go device with GMA Now. Price, Availability

After the successful release of GMA Affordabox earlier this year, GMA will launch a DTV-On-The-Go with GMA Now for only P649!

GMA Now (Mobile Digital TV Broadcast Receiver) is an ISDB-T Mobile Digital TV Receiver that is compatible with Android Devices with USB-OTG functionality.

It can receive ISDB-T Digital TV channels in your area, and of course, the GMA, GMA News TV, HallyPop and Heart of Asia Channel 

According to its Shopee listing, GMA Now is a mobile digital TV broadcast receiver that, along with the GMA Now mobile application, enables certain Android smartphones to receive clear and live digital TV broadcast on the go, for free. 

We have seen similar devices in the past like the MyPhone DTV Dongle, and the now defunct ABS-CBN's TV Plus Go. 

 

It also features GMA Videos-On-Demand, Groupee Chat and Interactive promos. Using internet connection, either through Wi-Fi or mobile data, users can stream catch-up episodes of their favorite Kapuso programs on the GMA Videos On-Demand tab, chat with their friends, family, and favorite Kapuso artists via Groupee, and participate in interactive promos.

 

The GMA Now can be used outdoors with Digital TV signal reception among these areas: Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Pampanga, Cavite, Laguna, Baguio City, Pangasinan, Batangas, Metro Cebu, Metro Davao.

However, the Shopee listing is marked as sold out. We expect GMA Network to announce the availability yet.
